Partners for Rogers Park annual meeting

Partners for Rogers Park (PRP) is a network of Rogers Park community organizations and residents within Rogers Park that are interested in expanding current community development and networking opportunities. PRP is currently expanding membership to all those that support their mission to promote positive community development through open and inclusive partnerships and are scheduled to hold their first annual meeting on January 23, 2008, TONIGHT.

This meeting will be the first step towards the creation of a coalition that values community development with a stakeholder based approach. PRP's planning process is scheduled to begin this month and is an opportunity to apply the approach in a responsive and tangible way.

During the annual meeting, current PRP members will elect a Steering Committee of 13 organizations and 2 community at large delegates for a total composition of 15. Membership within the steering committee requires:

1.      75% monthly meeting attendance;

2.      Support of the group's mission;

3.      Payment of annual dues.

The annual meeting is TONIGHT, January 23rd, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the offices of Housing Opportunities for Women (HOW) at 1607 W. Howard. All current PRP members must also fill out a membership application form as well as a nominations form to be included on the ballot.
