LEARN TO USE DRUPAL TO CREATE WEBSITES
FOR BUSINESS OR PERSONAL USE
What you will learn in one sentence: How to set up and use Drupal, a free software package for creating and updating content on your web site.
When: Classes will be offered Monday nights, from 6-9pm every other week for three weeks. Classes will start once five people have registered for the class, but is estimated for late April.

Basics of Drupal: With your Drupal powered site you will be
able to easily create blog
posts, news stories or discussion forums. You can
update your content simply by visiting your website, logging in and clicking
“edit” on pages you want to change. You will also be able to easily add photos
to pages and create galleries.
Advanced: You will also learn how to install and
configure any one of hundreds of possible modules to add additional features to
your website. Examples of additional available features: on-line application
form handling, event calendars or, for more advanced students, an on-line
store. Note that available class time may limit the number of additional
modules installed
● Understand how to work with files in Windows
● Be comfortable browsing the web and navigating web
sites.
● Have FTP access to a web hosting account that
includes PHP and MySQL. Students should have username and password for FTP
account and MySQL database available on first day of class. A domain name,
access to control panel or PHPMyAdmin also helpful, but not required
